The Core

is directed by the waist,
and expressed through the fingers.’
Some lines that express the main idea of most martial art generated power.
The midsection of our body serves as the unit that connects the entire system. Exercises like pivoting, stepping, Dragon Pole and knife training develop this correlation on different levels.
First we strengthen the components and try to achieve to move as a unit, similar to a cylinder that rotates around an axis.
Then we learn to move that unite without facing forward, but sideways and to generate power in small angles.
The knives finally help to establish a re-directional core, changing fast and dynamic.
